Bartosz Golis

Please introduce yourself briefly:
I am Bartosz – a 32-year-old import from Bavaria, now living in Lübeck.

What do you do at Splitbot?
Primarily, I am a backend developer, ensuring that our bots can do what they are supposed to do. However, due to my background in testing, I also play a leading role in the quality assurance of our software. Beyond that, I take every opportunity to tell others how much time and effort Splitbot could save them.

How did you come to join Splitbot?
As part of a professional rehabilitation measure, I was looking for an internship, and Kontor Business IT & Web was recommended to me. After a conversation with Tadeusz, during which he introduced me to Splitbot, the decision was made, so to speak, and I stayed here directly after the internship because I feel so comfortable.

What would you like to tell us about your private life?
Apart from occasionally bothering my surroundings with various instruments – unfortunately, I look better playing them than I actually can – I absolutely love to travel, whether by kayak or diving equipment on water, on foot or by motorcycle across the Alps, or by train to remote corners of Europe. However, my great passion is and remains gliding, which has fascinated me for as long as I can remember and is incomparable to anything else in this world.

In the Sci-Fi universe, you would be…?
I believe I must mention Tom Paris from Star Trek here. We share both the passion with which he pilots all sorts of vehicles and the enthusiasm for (old) technology and tinkering with and repairing it. Or Rocket Raccoon, essentially with the same reasoning.
What do you like most about Splitbot?
The enthusiasm that Splitbot generates. This simply shows me that we are offering a solution for something that is a real and relevant problem for many.
And at Splitbot, it’s definitely the team. We are not just colleagues; we also listen to each other and enjoy spending time together. Whether at work or after work during a shared game night.
